Adding Datasets

Sharing Your Data

To add a dataset:

  1. Go to ResourcesDatasets
  2. Click Add Dataset
  3. Enter metadata:
    • Title and description
    • Data type and format
    • Size and subjects
    • Access method
  4. Add citation information
  5. Upload or link to data
  6. Set access level
  7. Publish

Best Practices

When sharing data:

  • Ensure data is de-identified
  • Include data dictionary
  • Provide citation format
  • Add usage guidelines
  • Include analysis code if applicable

Using Datasets

Accessing Data

  1. Find dataset of interest
  2. Check access requirements
  3. Request access if needed
  4. Download data
  5. Cite appropriately

Citation Requirements

Always cite datasets in publications:

  • Use provided citation format
  • Link to DOI if available
